Winter at Sackville & Lane

Winter is here and ordinarily we would be catching up with many of you at the Australian Sheep & Wool Show in Bendigo this weekend, but unfortunately that can’t happen!

The Sheep & Wool Show is one of Sackville & Lane's annual highlights. It is a leading event for anyone with an interest in knitting and crochet, or wool in any form, so put the dates in your diary for next year, July 16–18, 2021, and in the meantime you can look at the diverse range of regular exhibitors at the show through their website.

One of the great pleasures of the show is seeing beautiful hand-made garments, proudly worn by their makers throughout the show. We’ll miss the people-watching at the Show, the showcase of craftmanship and creativity: Knitted jumpers, felted jackets and hats, and scarves, some amazing work. We delight in seeing people come back to the Sackville & Land stand wearing our projects that they bought and made, often in their own colours or other personal interpretation.

In honour of the Show, we’re sharing some favourite warm winter hand-crafted pieces, some are from Sackville & Lane. Find them on our Instagram.

In the meantime, we are using this house-bound wintertime creating some new beautiful Sackville & Lane things, look out for them on our website.

Wrap up in a chunky, natural wool cable scarf and enjoy the winter.
